Sometimes we want to escape from the hustle and spend a quiet evening by the fireplace. And the people of New York dream about this especially often. This family residence is just an hour’s drive from bustling Manhattan. And this fact is especially pleasant to its owners – after all, you do not need to plan a separate weekend to stay in nature. The building has an interesting history: it was built in the 1890s and functioned as an iron foundry for almost 50 years. In the 1940s, it was converted into a residential building, and then in the 21st century, the current owners took up repairs. They tried to preserve the historical design as much as possible, but at the same time expanded the windows so that more light fell into the rooms. In the design, natural materials and shades were used to the maximum, and minimalism in decoration was supported by interesting modern furniture. Great place to escape for the weekend!

Как-то, на мой взгляд, нелепо использовали потенциал данного здания. Нарушили пропорции и получили в зоне гостиной непонятную нависающую и давящую своим видом конструкцию 2-го яруса над зоной кухни. Короче спроектировали абы как. Ванная комната вообще какой-то мрак. Жаль здание – можно было спроектировать уютнее и функциональнее, а так не покидает ощущение, что заводской цех побелили и засунули туда какую- то мебель. Сомнительное место для релакса :(
Переборщили с “под старинку”, ванная с такой плиткой вызывает желание ее отмыть. Согласен с Александром, здание само по себе, оформление само по себе, вообще не уютное вышло
Гостиная, как я поняла, располагается на втором ярусе. А что на первом, интересно…?
