The owner of this cottage, a New York restaurateur, moved to England with his wife in 2011. First, they settled in London, and then began to look for a small cozy house for the weekend. One deay they came across this idyllic 1919 cottage in the Cotswold, 150 km from the capital. In such a charming place it would be wrong to create a modern design with an abundance of metal and glass, so the family together with the designer made every effort to maintain the original atmosphere of the house, but to make it neat and comfortable. The owners and their guests favorite place is the kitchen – everybody can gather around the island and enjoy snacks, sometimes it goes all evening and no one gets to the dining room. The party usually continues by the fireplace, and in the summer everyone is sure to go for a walk to the pond. By the way, a spacious courtyard with a picturesque lawn, a farm and a pond is one of the reasons why the family bought this house. You must admit that it’s impossible not to fall in love with these photos.
