Amazing beamed apartment in the heart of Paris

The charming small island of Saint-Louis is a real pearl of Paris and one of the two surviving islands on the Seine River (the second is the Cité). Residential buildings began to appear here in the 17th century, and today the richest people in Paris live here, because living in a 5-minute walk from Notre Dame Cathedral is both prestigious and incredibly pleasant. In one of such beautiful historical houses, this amazing apartment is located, which seems to take us several centuries into the past. The designer decided to restore the original wooden beams, not only the ceiling, but also the wall ones, which were used in the construction of the house, to make them the basis of the updated interiors. The contrast of rustic wood and modern furniture looks very unusual!
