The owners of this historic townhouse in Brooklyn, the family of a successful businessman, turned to designer Jae Joo via Instagram – they have been following her work for a long time, and when they bought the house, they immediately decided on a design studio. The magnificent browstone for which New York is famous was built at the beginning of the last century, but badly needed renovation. With the help of local architects, it was possible to change the layout to a more open and comfortable one, as well as to enlarge several window openings and this has made the rooms much brighter than before. Despite the generally modern and sophisticated design, the author of the project managed to preserve the soul of the house, which makes this home so unique.
