Minimalist interiors with brass and marble in Victorian home in Sydney

This late 19th-century three-story home in Sydney was converted into a tenement house in the 1920s, but the current owners bought it out and made it their own. The building inherited from the Victorian era an elegant facade with openwork forged railings. In contrast to such a luxurious exterior, the owners, together with the designer, chose a modern minimalist design for the interiors. The main materials used are wood, marble and metal. The black and white marble texture is in perfect harmony with the beautiful wood structure and brass elements. The interiors are not overloaded with color and variety of items, everything looks refined and restrained, just like the owners wanted!
