Grand Hotel du Soleil d’or certainly doesn’t look like a typical ski resort in the Alps, and there are several reasons for this. Firstly, it occupies the oldest building in the famous resort of Megeve, built in 1901 during the heyday of the Belle Epoque in France. Secondly, the interiors – the designers approached the decoration of the hotel spaces with imagination and creativity. There are wonderful wallpapers with forest prints, wooden log decor, vintage details mixed with trendy furniture. Each room is different from the previous one, and the color scheme of the design is varied and interesting. And what views open on the romantic open balconies here! In such a place, you want not only to spend a vacation but also wander around its interiors, discovering new and unexpected corners.
