When Mengibar Blanco began working on this apartment in Barcelona, its interior was gloomy and boring – it had last seen a renovation in the 70s. In addition, the distribution of space also left much to be desired – for example, the kitchen had no windows and thus natural light. Using simple techniques, designers were able to not only enliven the space, but also transform it beyond recognition. So, they first painted the walls in white and sand shades, changed the flooring to natural oak and replaced all the plastic windows with wooden ones. Now this house has a lot of light and comfort, and the sunny mini-terrace has become a harmonious continuation of the interiors.
