When Mitchell and Samantha were looking for a house in New York, they immediately told estate agents to look for a house for renovation, as they did not want to “pay for someone’s design.” Therefore, when they found the old boardinghouse, which for many years stood empty, they realized it’s the clean sheet where the couple can make a dream home to their liking. And after almost two years of works, they finally got their long-awaited home – personal, a bit bold and extravagant. Terrace on the roof was an excellent bonus!

Wooden home that blends ideally into the surrounding nature

In this project everything was right from the very beginning: the couple asked TS Design studio to create a home that would perfectly blend into the local nature without cutting down a single tree. The designers managed to create a modern wooden house with a light countryside mood and cozy interiors without lots of textures. There was also a place for some original solutions, such as chanterelles prints in the living room and cool chevron floor on the terrace. Great project!
