Designer Emma Gurner’s townhouse in North London strikes with its contrasts. It has, for example, two living rooms, and they are decorated in completely different styles – one is more traditional with a classic fireplace, the other is very modern, minimalistic. The same situation with the color scheme: the kitchen is incredibly light, almost white, at the other hand the bedroom is designed in dark saturated tones. Very unique and interesting home!
Wooden ceiling with beams and an abundance of live plants in pots – you definitely do not expect to see these guys in a city apartment. But designers always love to experiment and combine the unmatching elements, especially in their own homes. Artemy Saranin in the living room of his Perm apartment created a real jungle – from kids year he loved southern plants and in his home did as he had long dreamed of. And in general, the interiors are full of details, sometimes it seems that there is little space to move. But Artemy responds that he is fully comfortable in this exact atmosphere. Such a wonderful dwelling!
French designer Christophe Collado owns a small vintage furniture store in Lyon, but you will not find lots of aged pieces of furniture or antique decor in his apartment. This is a fine example of a trendy modern design – black panels, modernized beams, minimalistic furniture. Christophe says that he did most of renovation works by himself and some design elements are handmade (like, for example, the headboard of plywood in the bedroom). Such a stylish home!
When an interior designer is engaged in decorating a house for a fashion designer, it is always an interesting task. But in this case, the result exceeded all expectations. The home of Eduardo Rivera in Madrid turned out to be incredibly cool, stylish and unique. The color palette is a mix of blue tones and shades. Attractive deep blue can be found on the walls and on upholstered furniture. There is something magnetic about the interiors. Details in retro style (typewriter, bookcases, mirror cupboard in the bathroom) give the space an irony and ease, an element of play and mystery, but at the same time, the industrial features take us down to the ground. The design is versatile, like the person for which it was designed!
The owner of interior store Casa Lopez in Paris Pierre Sauvage is a non-ordinary person, and this relates to his home as well. His previous apartment did not satisfy him just because it was built “only” slightly over 100 years ago. Therefore, as soon as he found a grandeur classical 18th century apartment in the heart of Paris, he immediately moved in without thinking. In the new home everything is exactly like he dreamed: magnificent space, high ceilings, stucco molding, and most importantly – the breath of history. Enjoy!
Designer Joshua Greene even gave up space to live in the area of New York, that he always liked. He could easily purchase a more spacious apartment but chose this small flat in so loved Greenwich Village. There is enough furniture and accessories in this home for two apartments, but for the designer each thing matters – “I love things, but I do not like clutter,” he says. Beautiful home!
Dedier Gomez recently celebrated 30 years of his design practice of creating beautiful furniture pieces and wonderful interiors. For now he is one of the most prominent and successful designers in Paris and France. Today we have a perfect opportunity to get inside his stunning Paris home. Enjoy!
In the fashion designer Chris Benz’s bright and tasty New York townhouse you can feel the heartbeat of modern America – in colors, paintings, styles. How do you like this unforgettable blue walls in the living room and the bedroom in canary tones? Look, in one room there is even a full moon! I want to have this lamp. A cute fireplace mosaic looks fun, attractive and even cute. The paintings on the walls add mystery – each of them is worthy of a separate story, they are conceptual and look harmonious and just cool! You can escape from the riot of colors and themes in the bedroom, decorated in quiet smoky shades and hide in a large bed under a canopy or in a bathroom that is as beautiful as a Neapolitan morning. This is a design with many stories about the past for a happy present!
