When renovating apartments in old houses in Europe, designers are increasingly tending to bright and bold colors. And we must say, it looks very lively and interesting. Exactly this happened with the charming apartment in the center of Milan as local designer used different bright shades of blue. In the living room, for example, it is saturated dark blue, in the kitchen – soft blue, well, in the bedroom, the restrained grey tones prevail. Old ceiling beams, which were preserved during the repair, look here very impressive.
This charismatic and colorful apartment in Florence was designed for the owners of a well-known Italian furniture brand. Previously it was an old and gloomy office was, but even then it was possible to see the huge potential of these premises in the building of 1800. The owners and the designer decided to focus on bright elements in design, various textures and prints and modern furniture. For example, there is a golden cupboard and a green fireplace, and, of course, there were elements of modern art. The interiors are eclectic and catchy, which the customers wanted, and thanks to this, we were able to admire a very bold and interesting project!
This residence in the Italian city of Piacenza in a short time turned from a dilapidated rural house into a stylish mansion in a modern style. The architect William Savaiya restored it by himself, for himself and his family. From the outside, the facade was hardly touched – it was important not to spoil the historical appearance of the castle, surrounded by vineyards and majestic nature. But inside the house has undergone significant changes. Finishing was preserved as much as possible, but all furniture and decor were replaced with new pieces – now everything is bright and modern. Such an amazing contrast made this place even more memorable and unique. Such an interesting project!

Delightful wooden chalets and tree houses are surrounded by a crystal lake, forest and snowy peaks. Designers of Studioata decided to utilize to the maximum the high ceilings of this ground floor apartment in a magnificent historic building in Turin, Italy. But they did it in a rather original way: with the help of interesting architectural solutions, they managed to install a mezzanine lounge are under the ceiling, where the original painting and stucco were preserved. A perfect example of modern design in an old building!
It’s no secret that in California they have a special passion for European architecture. And today’s house is also no exception: the villa of the famous TV star Ellen DeGeneres in Santa Barbara was inspired by traditional Italian stone buildings. Of course, the design was diluted with modern furniture and accessories, but the vintage atmosphere is felt quite well. Great project!
Today we have an incredibly beautiful home in Italy with amazing views from the windows. This classic apartment on the shores of Lake Maggiore was decorated by the Russian designer Anna Dmitrieva of Couture Interiors studio for her family. The highlight of this house is a magnificent color scheme, which, according to Anna, was supposed to convey the natural palette of the local landscapes. A real dream!

It’s so easy to fall in love with Italy and it’s hard to forget such a wonderful country. This is exactly what happened to a couple from Russia who, once in a charming Italian village, decided to acquire real estate here. Thank God, the price allowed: an authentic though dilapidated farm house was worth a studio apartment on the outskirts of Moscow. To restore the beautiful stone house the owners attracted local masters, the interior design was done by Zhenya Zhdanova. What came of it – today in our photo story!
