In Santa Barbara, California, there is a beautiful oasis of Mediterranean architecture and landscape, which is very similar to traditional Spanish stone villas. The mansion was built in 1930, but since then the exterior of the house remains untouched. Inside, a big renovation was done recently, but the interiors were also preserved almost unchanged since that time. Few words about the territory – it is huge, buried in greenery, with stone pool and cozy ponds. Amazing place!
When you look at the photographs of this wonderful home in Santa Barbara, there is an inner confidence that happy people live here. The brightest colors and natural materials, the abundance of natural light in each room, and finally, the living plants and soulful things that make the space a real home. We love it so much!
It’s no secret that in California they have a special passion for European architecture. We have posted a lot on our website about homes designed in the Spanish colonial style from this celebrity-loved state of America. And today’s house is also no exception: the villa of the famous TV star Ellen DeGeneres in Santa Barbara was inspired by traditional Italian stone buildings. Of course, the design was diluted with modern furniture and accessories, but the vintage atmosphere is felt quite well. Great project!
