Glamping: what are the benefits of a holiday in the mountains?

Nowadays, modern people strive to be closer to nature. It’s good that there are lots of opportunities for an interesting, eventful and memorable holiday. Take the same mountains – over the past decades they have turned into one continuous glamping zone, visited by thousands of tourists all year round.

Mountain holiday options

Mountains are a favorite vacation spot for residents of city dwellers not only in the US, but all over the world. On their slopes there are a huge number of complexes that rent out houses of different levels of comfort. Many of them accept vacationers all year round, so the cottages have air conditioning in summer and heating in winter. But it is better to clarify the intensity with which certain rooms are heated at the stage of planning a vacation. The same can be said about accessing the Internet. Nowadays, most recreation centers provide free Wi-Fi, but there are also exceptions.

As for active relaxation in the mountains, it is represented by a variety of options. Guests can enjoy skiing, snowboarding and quad biking, songs around the fire, hiking, horseback riding excursions, visits to animal farms, swimming in mountain rivers, discos and interesting entertainment programs. In winter, the most popular are the sauna and a vat of hot water, after which the bravest and most seasoned are wiped down with cold snow.

What is glamping?

Translated from English, glamping means a country holiday center, built on the principle of a tourist camp and with comfortable living conditions. It comes from two words: camp  and glamor. Modern glampings consist of cozy and well-equipped houses with a shower, toilet, and running water. Some offer a hairdryer, iron and personal care products, so you don’t have to lug around a lot of stuff. That is, in the case of glamping, we are not talking about cold tents, multi-day treks and cooking over a fire, but about a pleasant holiday in the wild with all the necessary amenities. At the same time, the cottages fit so organically into the local landscape that they become an integral part of it.

Also within the hotel there are many areas – swimming pools, sports and playgrounds, pavilions, gazebos, fishing spots, etc. Meals for vacationers are organized in different ways. In some places, breakfast is included in the price of your stay, in others it is paid separately. Some offer full board, others half board. In any case, delicious and satisfying dishes prepared by professional chefs await you. Also, many cottages have everything you need for self-cooking – a kitchenette, a refrigerator, for a small fee they rent out a cocktail bowl, a cauldron, skewers, etc. You can find out about the conditions of a particular glamping on the website. Explore all the options and choose the one that suits you.
