Designer Maya Baklan approached the design of this rental apartment of 42 sqm in Kyiv, Ukraine, very seriously – she really wanted to prove that even with a limited budget and in a tight time frame, you can create a high-quality and beautiful home. Before the start of work, the apartment was in poor condition – located in an old house built in 1896 it needed major repairs and large rearrangements. In the new design, there are almost no ready-made furniture solutions: some items are made to order, others are found at various flea markets, and there are also bold design solutions, such as, for example, colorful wallpaper on the ceilings in the bedroom. The result was just great!
