Brick wall, stucco and contemporary art: eclectic apartment in Madrid

In this renovated apartment in a 19th-century house in Madrid, designers have mixed up perhaps the most incompatible elements and styles. Rough brick wall and old wooden beams on one side and refined stucco and moldings on the other – the very base of the premises speaks about serious contrasts. But the most important feature here is the extravagant collection of paintings by contemporary artists, which the owners asked to fit into their new home. It is these works of modern art that set the tone and mood for the entire design. A very unusual home for creative people!
